Korlynne McRae Sandoval is a third-generation Santa Barbara native and is very proud to be able to live and teach in the community where she grew up. She went to local schools and graduated from San Marcos High School in 1995. She then went on to UCSB where she majored in Sociology with a minor in Spanish. During her second year at UCSB, Korlynne traveled to Taxco, Mexico where she lived and studied for six months. It was during that time that Korlynne fell in love with the Mexican culture and Spanish language. That love still resides in her heart until this day.

Korlynne graduated from UCSB in 1999 and married her high school sweetheart, Antonio Sandoval, the following summer. She then continued her studies at Cal State University, Channel Islands where she received her Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential.

She worked as a teacher in many grade levels at Cleveland School for seven years before joining the César Chávez Charter School familia. During that time, Tony and Korlynne started their own little familia and are the proud parents of Diego, who attends CCCS, and to Joaquin, a future Cheetah!

Korlynne enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing softball, reading, taking pictures, and having fun with her boys. She is very happy to be part of the César Chávez teaching staff and looks forward to many successful years to come!
