Gabby Meza-Cruz is the Spanish Kindergarten Teacher at César Chávez Charter School and is very proud to have been working at the school since 2003. Gabby says, “I love and enjoy being a Kindergarten teacher. I really enjoy working with my English Kinder Teaching-Partner, Marie-Christine Kannoglou, and with all my CCCS colleagues.”
She was born in the state of Sinaloa in Mexico, but has been living in Santa Barbara since she was two years old. She attended Roosevelt Elementary School, S. B. Junior High, S. B. High School, S. B. City College, and UC Santa Barbara.
Sra. Cruz received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a BCLAD Certification (in Spanish) and Supplement Authorizations in Spanish and Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara.
During her free time, she likes to go out dancing, shopping, and loves to collect and create lessons and activities for her grade level that will help and guide her in becoming a better prepared and more knowledgeable teacher and colleague.
When not teaching at CCCS, Gabby enjoys spending time with her children who you might run into on campus.
