Art Project Description

The Cesar Chavez Charter School Art Program prides itself on exposing the students to a diverse ethnicity of artists with a strong emphasis on the work of Latin American and Spanish artists and the crafts of those countries.  The 6th graders do a clay self-portrait tile in the style of artist Marge Dunlap.  These tiles are a graduation gift to Cesar Chavez Charter School and are hung on the school campus.  We also promote an annual school community project where every student participates in a permanent piece of art to remain at the school.  The following individual projects will take place during the 2006-2007 school year and are listed by grade.
