A Pennsylvania native, Eva Marie Neuer completed her B.S. in Elementary Education at Penn State in 1988. She was recruited by Lompoc Unified as a bilingual teacher in 1992. Since that time she has earned an M.A. in Reading Education and Educational Administration, and has worked as a Classroom Teacher, University Instructor for Chapman and Antioch Universities, Title I Teacher, Reading Recovery Teacher, and Title VII Coordinator. After working in San Luis Coastal Unified School District for eight years Mrs. Neuer moved to her current position as Principal of César Chávez Charter School in June 2004.
Eva lives in Santa Barbara with her husband Darrin and their cats Chatner, Sammy, Girlie, and Dino, but stays in touch by phone with her mom, dad, seven brothers and sisters, and fifteen nieces and nephews who all live back East.
Mrs. Neuer says she loves the small-school setting of CCCS that allows staff, students, and parents to all work together.
